At least seven people have died after a massive crane came crashing down in the middle of the road CRUSHING a mini-van carrying children.

Three teenagers were also rushed to hospital in ambulances with serious injuries shortly after the incident in Puning city, south China.

All seven people killed in the horror accident died at the scene which occurred at around 6pm (local time) on Tuesday evening.

Harrowing dashcam footage shows the crane falling directly on top of the mini-van – narrowly missing other vehicles travelling along the motorway but splitting the van in two.

Two moped riders cannot hide their shock as they bike up to the mini-van.

Bystanders rushed to the site to offer help, while police , firefighters and doctors arrived shortly afterwards.

Footage of the crash scene later shows emergency services frantically trying to cut the wreckage to try and rescue any survivors.

One boy with blood on his limbs is eventually pulled from the mini-van and placed onto a stretcher.
